The Agent Site to Receive AI Foundry Special Recognition Award

The Agent Site is to be presented with a Special Recognition Award at the AI Foundry Showcase at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester on 24th May.

The AI Foundry Project, a European Regional Development Fund consortium project from Manchester Metropolitan University, Lancaster University, The University of Manchester and University of Salford, is hosting the awards ceremony to recognise the achievements of the programmes project partners, including The Agent Site.

Sam Walsh, Project Engineer for AI Foundry and Lancaster University, said of The Agent Site’s Special Recognition award: “The Agent Site is an ideal company to collaborate with under the Greater Manchester AI Foundry programme.

“The conveyancing industry has suffered from a lack of innovation, so the application of AI has the potential to make a significant impact.

“By combining academic expertise, industry knowledge, and contributions from student interns, the collaboration hopes to assist with revolutionising the industry through the integration of AI technology.

“This collaboration developed a proof of concept that will be the first step in delivering more streamlined processes, enhanced efficiency, and a more transparent and improved conveyancing experience.”

The anticipated creation of new jobs through the Agent Site’s participation in the programme was also highlighted.

Fiona Drummond, CEO of The Agent Site, said of the partnership: “We are thrilled to receive this Special Recognition award from the AI Foundry. We have been excited and energised by this innovative partnership with the AI Foundry and by what we have accomplished together as a team.

We have used AI programming to create a function that allows solicitors to automatically create a contract of sale in the push of a button. This ensures accurate data as it’s taken directly from the land registry and deals with the legal enquiries which are raised as part of the property title.  We’re now excited to use the knowledge gained from The AI Foundry programme to improve the legal process of moving home within our platform.”

As to her hopes for the future, Fiona added: “Our next steps will be to gain investment, and grow both our team and our market share, so watch this space.”
